Northern Fiction Alliance and Publishers Association team up for Autumn workshop series
In the third year of their ongoing partnership, the Northern Fiction Alliance and Publishers Association are joining forces for a series of online workshops designed to upskill and inspire small publishers.
The three workshops will cover how to break into the audiobook market (23 September), maximise title visibility online (1 October), and hire a Publishing Assistant apprentice (7 October). Each session will be interactive and discussion led.
Expert speakers include Dominic Gribben (audio publisher at Hachette UK ), Supadu (the leading provider of web design, e-commerce, and data solutions for publishers), and LDN Apprenticeships (the training provider for the Publishing Assistant apprenticeship).
These workshops are free for members of the Publishers Association and Northern Fiction Alliance or £30 for non-members (excludes tax and booking fees).
Sarah Cleave, Publishing Manager of Comma Press, said:
“We are thrilled to be collaborating with the Publisher’s Association on more training opportunities. As a collective, we’re committed to developing the creative workforce across the North of England, and these workshops are a fantastic addition to our programme.”
Stephen Lotinga, Chief Executive of the Publishers Association, said:
“We are delighted to be working with the Northern Fiction Alliance again in our joint mission to support the vibrant publishing scene that exists outside of London.
“We want every publishing business – no matter their size or sector – to thrive in the post-pandemic economy and ensuring that small and medium-sized enterprises have access to high-quality training is foundational to that growth.”
