Comma, Bluemoose and Dead Ink shortlisted for Small Press of the Year Award

The shortlists for the inaugural Small Press of the Year award were revealed this morning In The Bookseller, and Comma Press, Bluemoose Books and Dead Ink Books have all been shortlisted in the North region, along with poetry publishers Carcanet Press and Smokestack Books.

Philip Jones, Chair of the judges and Editor of the Bookseller said of the forty-one small presses that have made it onto the regional and country shortlists: 'Small and perfectly formed, these publishers show a sector that is diverse, imaginative and thriving.'

This is the first year that the British Book Awards have included a Small Press category.

The winner of the Small Press of the Year award will be announced during London Book Fair on the 13th March.
